I bought this to form rings, and while it is professional looking, due to the two flat sides, it is not suitable for forming rings. It does measure accurately, but if you are looking for something to provide a form for a ring, then try something else. I use a plastic mandrel for forming, then this to measure

Aluminum ring sizer is a step above the plastic measuring sticks. It has graduated scales on both sides of stick, though I really wish they were engraved scales rather than stickers. I know I’m asking too much for the price, I guess.
There is no documentation that comes with this either, so you’ll need to know what it is you are looking at, that is, which scale to use, when you use this.
If you are looking for a solid ring measuring stick for a decent price, this one seems ok.

This product does work well for sizing rings. I did think it would be of a heavier material, though, so I would be able to use a chasing hammer to pound metal on it. It is a light aluminum that feels hollow, so pounding on it with a hammer would not be a good idea. It is also flat on the side with the sizes, so you can’t use it to shape rings very well, either. This tool would be for sizing rings already made, not to use for sizing rings you are trying to make on your own. I should have realized for the price it wasn’t going to be what I thought it was.

The ring stick is very useful for me. I have lots of rings and now I know what size the rings are that fit me best.

great for the price.
I’ve adjusted rings fine, just rotate the ring because of the groove.
Not recommended for wax due to the groove that runs down the middle.
For a ring sizer, storing it upright makes for a quick grab.
